The McMillan Shorthorn Ranch, owned and operated by Tom and Virginia McMillan, was started in 1879 by Tom’s grandfather Angus McMillan. The ranch is just a few miles from Lewistown, Montana – the town known for being the center of the state.
Tom McMillan continuously strives to improve the ranch and Shorthorn cattle he purchased from his father, Donald McMillan, in 1967. The ranch has maintained a herd of sheep since 1880 and is a producer of hay, barley, oats and wheat. In concert with ranch operations, Tom is an active cattle buyer with roughly three decades of success in buying and placing cattle.
We are pleased to offer Shorthorn replacement heifers or help you find cattle to fit your needs.
